  • My services consist of tasks requiring horticultural training and skills, and include:

    • Specialist pruning

    • Soil surveys and ameliorations

    • Planting design

    • Design and installations of edible gardens

    • Acquisition of specialist plants

    • Installation of new border designs

    • Seasonal turf repair and reseeding

  • Because lawn mowing and hedge trimming take a long time but require no specialist skills, I don’t offer a ‘lawn and hedge only’ service. Existing clients may add lawn and hedge management to their service package if they wish.

  • I invoice at the end of each working day, with a 24 hour payment window for payments via bank transfer.

  • In short, a standard organic approach involves no use of weedkiller, herbicide, insecticide or synthetic chemical fertilisers.

Systems of Integrated Pest Management are adapted to manage pests and diseases organically.

Ecological gardening involves applying understandings of natural ecosystems and biomes to build a garden that is beautiful, healthy and ecologically abundant.

And fear not - the idea that ‘ecological’ gardens must look like neglected brownfield sites is entirely unfounded.

  • ‘Re-wilding’ is a word that sadly over-simplifies a complex subject matter.

However, when people want to ‘rewild’ a space, they usually mean they want to move to a more naturalistic planting style which offers food and shelter for wildlife, and which supports many native plant species. And yes - this is absolutely what I do.

  • You can email me directly at wolfehorticultural@gmail.com, or use the contact form on my website.

My phone number and WhatsApp contact options are available only to existing clients, and are not advertised publicly.

  • Yes - spring, autumn and winter are busy seasons for horticulture, when much of the preparation and core garden care can be scheduled.

  • Regular clients have one session per week, for three hours, usually between 9am and midday. Other clients prefer to schedule every other week, also between 9 and midday.

For one-off jobs or very short-term projects (four sessions or less), I offer a two-hour time slot in afternoons, and usually only during autumn, winter and spring.

I am available on weekdays when an opening becomes available, and currently have an opening for one weekend morning.

  • Please send an inquiry email in order to discuss payment rates. My hourly rate is always the same for all clients.

Occasionally, short-term work can be billed as a project rate, ensuring a manageable workload and a set time period can be adhered to.

  • Absolutely. Many clients wish to keep my services long-term, and others want to hire me for an initial garden project and some helpful advice.

Once a project has been installed, I am always happy to schedule maintenance sessions throughout the year (once per month, or once per season) to ensure a re-designed garden remains at its best and most manageable year-round.

All clients have the option of requesting a full Garden Maintenance Program to help them schedule garden management tasks for each plant or bed grouping throughout the year.

  • In 2026, I will be undertaking further professional training in meadow scything with an Austrian scythe, as well as new training in orchard and fruit tree management, and specialist decorative topiary skills. I look forward to offering these services to clients in the future.
